The Flooring System
Look at this flooring system! 16″ on center 2 x 4 floor joists are set into 4×6″ treated notched skids.
In addition, our flooring on top of the joist is 5/8″ solid plywood. It’s designed and warranted specifically for Derksen sheds, from Louisiana-Pacific, it features **LP® ProStruct® Flooring with SmartFinish®, featuring a durable overlay for a beautiful, professional-grade appearance. As a result, it has no knots or voids. It’s a welcome change from building with traditional plywood flooring. In addition, unlike plywood shed floors, our LP® ProStruct® Flooring with SmartFinish® is also treated with the LP® SmartGuard® process. Above all, the flooring provides longer-lasting performance in a variety of climates/weather.
There’s a manufacturers warranty of 10 Years on our LP® ProStruct® Flooring.
Derksen’s Warranty on it’s treated skids
“The treated wood used in all Derksen portable buildings, including 4×6 treated skids, comes with a limited lifetime warranty against termite damage and fungal decay. This warranty covers all exposed pressure-treated wood components and ensures protection for the lifetime of the building against these specific wood threats, subject to normal use and maintenance. The limited lifetime warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, or environmental factors outside normal conditions.”
In addition to the flooring system, the metal sides and metal roof have a 20 Year Warranty and the construction itself has a 5 year warranty on these buildings.
